Two Men Accused with Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
