Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – News
Skydance Paramount plans to begin mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts are a result of the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are expected, with the company planning to reveal full details via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Previous updates had indicated the company planned to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the organization retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 contract workers.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
